wham! listen to that man laugh

It’s a bit surreal to watch the situation in Egypt unfold while balancing an afternoon with my godson. He’s such a sunny little thing, all sweetness and curiosity and ferocity and full-body laughter. The newsfeed of all the violence and unrest puts a dark ribbon around the day; the sound of toppling governments luckily drowned out by noisily banging drums and an almost constant stream of giggles. Dear god, keep him young.
